How We Get the Information and Why We Have It

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Contact made by yourself with High Offley Parish Council.
  • Contact made by a third party with High Offley Parish Council in which contact with you is requested.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You can remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting the Clerk.
(b) We have a contractual obligation.

What We Do with the Information We Have

We use the information that you have given us in order to make contact with you, if necessary.

We may share this information with other parties, only if it is necessary to seek resolution of an issue you may have raised.

How We Store Your Information

Your information is securely stored on a password protected cloud server accessed from a password protected laptop computer.
We keep your contact details for a year. We will then dispose your information by deleting it entirely from our systems, if it is no longer necessary to make any further contact with you.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
